Spatial technology consultancy, NGIS Australia is working with the Department of Industry and Resources to develop an exciting new online application that will meet increasing industry demand for online access to DoIRs expansive collection of geological and spatial data.

The new system, known as The Western Australian Resource Infortmation System (WARIMS) is being developed using GeoSamba Universal and will replace the existing TENGRAPH® Enquiry and GeoVIEW.WA systems.

Advances in spatial and web technologies mean that historically ‘unlinkable’ data formats can now be integrated, providing potential explorers with much greater insight into the prospectivity of an area than ever before.

 It will also allow DoIRs regional offices and field staff to easily update information, meaning potential explorers can feel confident they are accessing the most current data available.
