GeoSamba Universal ships with two fully supported out-of-the-box web mapping clients which are freely deployable. Within a matter of hours spatial information can be shared and used around the globe, or throughout an organization.
The GeoSamba smart client is a small footprint desktop client. The GeoSamba browser client is fast, ultra-thin interface, free of plug-ins, and able to be used through most web browsers. English and Chinese versions are available.
Both clients are packed with a broad selection of tools and features that demonstrate the complete array of capabilities exposed through the GeoSamba business logic services.
The features and capabilities offered by the business logic services create a flexible framework in which to develop custom clients. Software development kits for both of these clients are available and additional sample clients, with source code, are provided on the product CD Rom.
Mapping plays a large role in spatial information, but for many business’s a map will not be required. Such an example may be searching for the names and addresses of land owners who reside within a specified distance from a critical location. In this example GeoSamba could output a mail merge document or a series of reports, letters, emails, or text messages.
The GeoSamba administrator defines user roles allowing different users different interfaces and capabilities. For instance a standard user may only be able to view the data, an advanced user may be able to query the data, accounts staff may be able to produce reports and edit tabular data, and cartographic staff able to add and modify spatial information.
